alarm coding for s1

im working with a series 1 that had the car battery replaced and has caused the remote for the alarm not to work and the car wont start , how do i code the remote to the car????

I have looked in the Lotus service notes and skip read the 5 pages . I can scan and email these pages when I get to work tomorrow - please supply an email address if you want this done. In the meantime you may want to try the second set of keys or change the battery in the fob

a fob is the battery powered button you press to send the signal to the immobliser usually attached to the key ring
