Hi, have got a very stubborn aftermarket wheel nut that i have tried a massive breaker bar on, an impact driver, and the local tyre fitters have tried there air hammer. It will not budge.
If it comes to drilling into the nut head/stud, does anyone know how easy it is to get at the back of the stud for replacement? Does the whole hub need to come off, or can you get to the back of it in-situ?
Many thanks for any tips.
XKR, btw.

Oops, just seen on Britishparts they are screw-in studs. That will be handy then.

Try this - it might just work.

Jack the wheel up and remove all the other nuts. Spray lots of WD 40 into the holes in the wheel and leave for a while.

Drop the car quickly off the jack then try to undo the nut - the WD and sudden shock might just free it off.

Thanks Steve, had thought about driving it for a while with the other nuts slack, see if the sideways movement might free it up.
Think the prob is they are aftermarket wheels with taper seat nuts, and it may have welded itself to the wheel.
Have had a look at the other side and think i could get a new stud in from behind, so might resort to drilling the stud till it gives up.
