For some reason there is a list of words that despite myself, I just can't seem to remember how to spell:

Occasionally
Recipe
Absolutely

All come to mind. I don't seem to struggle with much else, but am rubbish at these. Why is that?

Same here, with the addition of definitely (definately). Although I've got that one nailed now.

Very common problem that - did a search on 'definitely' - not found, did one on 'definately' - over 200 pages hehe

I have to recite home made phonetics to help me through:

beautiful is bee-ah-ute-iful

queue is kew-ee-you-ee

Yes, all right, it's a bit pathetic, but it works for me.

And if you're on't internet without a spell check you can just type words into the search and see if it recognises what you're writing. You don't have to leave the page you're on, it should show enough to put you straight.

Committee always fks me over, far more letters than necessary. Onomatopoeia is a bd too and no i have no idea why those two have sprung to mind as i certainly can't remember the last time i needed to write either.

I always spell it like Bruce when I'm typing it whistle

Mine is 'achieved' and 'corrosion'

I know how they are spelt but always stop and think whether it is 'acheived' or 'corossion' for some really stupid reason.

...and yes, I buggered up 'achieved' while typing this.
