Give the slopes around Linlithgow another couple of hours and they should be good to go.
The Pentland's a few weeks ago....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pITnkGATvY
Cairngorm last few weeks has had stunning conditions. Theyve been able to piste areas where folk havent been able to ski for years. With more snow forecast its going to get even better. (if they can dig the tows and funicular out!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVNKHLdfuZ0 - this is awesome.
that does look amazing!
Cairngorm says theres another 1.5 to 2 meters fresh powder on the lower slopes today, more higher up. And with it snowing heavily tonight theyre expecting 3m on lower slopes by tomorrow! Doubt they will be open for a while!
I recon we will still be skiing in july at this rate!

ks! Snow fab, weather fab, access and queues ****ing awful. Remembered why I haven't skied Scotland for 20 years.
Sorry about your son. Have boarded Glencoe, Glenshee and the gorm this year and by far the best was Glencoe for snow conditions. The funicular at Cairngorm is a disaster. Between waiting to get a ticket(on website they said they had a cash only queue which they didn't so with 20 people in front of me took 40 mins for a lift pass) , then the queue for the funicular while it fills up and finally the lethal M1 poma which literally gives you whiplash.
ks! Snow fab, weather fab, access and queues ****ing awful. Remembered why I haven't skied Scotland for 20 years.will be sticking to the other resorts much more enjoyable experience.

How feasible is it to do a days skiing in Cairngorm? Flying up to Edinburgh, staying overnight and then setting off early by car, returning for a 8:30pm flight.
Is it quick and easy to hire equipment and get a lift pass? Google maps says it's a 3 hour drive from Edinburgh to the Gorm, how are the roads up there?
