T350 cooling fans not working!

Hello all,

After months of staring at my beloved T350 sitting in the garage over winter I decided to take her out yesterday.

At the end of her run I was sitting in town traffic, then noticed the water temperature gauge trying to creep over 100 degrees and no fans kicking in! So I parked her up, done some shopping to let her cool down, checked the water then drove home. The temp didn't even then get above 80 degrees.

Once home on closer inspection everything is fine apart from the fans not working. I'll be able to have time to get this sorted out at the weekend. Is there a common thing that happens here that stops the fans working?

Hi Kevin,

the water temperature sensors are prone to fail. The replacements are pretty cheap and they can be changed within 15 minutes. They're located below the airbox, the one closer to the cabin is usually the bad one. Try unplugging it and the fans will kick in (since the electronics assume an emergency).

Thanks a lot for your input. I'll try that at the weekend so see if it is that. If it is, where would be the best place for the replacement parts? Sorry if I may be stating the obvious, just apart form taking my car to a TVR garage for a service I haven't had to seperately buy any replacement TVR parts.
