Right I'm looking to move jobs again and ideally out of the motor trade, but I am struggling to find a career that I can move to that doesn't mean I loose big chunk of money each month.
I've worked in the motor trade all my career from starting as a Saturday lad in a garage to being there full time as a mechanic.
I have a BTEC in engineering which really isn't much use, a C+G in autocad but havent used the program in years so would have to retrain.
At the the momoment I am a service advisor/workshop controller for a franchised dealer. Prior to this I was "Group Warranty Manager" for motor factor group. The job title sounds better than the role, it was organising the returns of warranty parts, old unit core ect. value wise it was in the region of a minimum 50k a month dependant on what was going through.
The Job before I was a claims handler for a car warranty firm and ended up doing all the VRP and GAP and the ETI claims as well as the warranty stuff, including reports, letter writing dealing with engineers garages and Trading Standards. It was quite interesting and pretty varied.
Im after a desk job as the role I am in at the moment I am up and about to often, this is a problem due to the fact I mashed my hip and pelvis up mountain biking.
Any sugestions that my skills would cross against to? at the moment Its all a bit quite on the jobs front, and I haven't had any joy with anything localy to me.
Cheers
