Adobe Creative Suite - product key recovery

Hi All

My BiL has got a fully licensed copy of Adobe Creative Suite, with the original disks etc, installed on his laptop. He wants to do a reformat and reinstall but does not have a record of the CD Key (Doh!)

Anyone got any recommendations for some software that will get the key out of the product on his hard disk?

did he register the copy after buying it? if so adobe customer services can retrieve the sn for him - 0207 365 0733

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of any of the various programs that are out there.

If I read him correctly, he wanted to extract the genuine product key from the installation already on the HDD. That isn't quite the same thing...

I just find it strange he bought over a grands worth of software and has lost track of the email from adobe or any trace of the code on or in the box.

skwdenyer: you are exactly right. The machine needs a rebuild and he has all the original media, just not the code.

He didn't - the laptop was given to him with it already installed as part of a package (along with Office etc etc) when he was on a fast track training program. He has the boxes and the disks and cannot find the code.
