I'm surprised that a team hoping to wing it into F1 by way of some kind of special permission - requiring consent of everyone- the fia, the troll and the teams- would be so antagonistic as to employ someone that just about everyone in F1 would rather forget about.

They have a car, drivers and a budget that will at least allow them to get on the grid for the first race................. better Stefan GP than continue with the USF1 fiasco
I think the only person they really have to get on side is BCE, everything will fall into place once he thinks they will be of benefit to F1

Indeed I do.The teams were 'advised' not to employ him. I ask you.
The two principles in the Stepneygate Fiasco were him and Stepney. Everyone else, even Alonso and PdlRoso, were bit-part players. And nothing was done to him.

What an amazing website. That is truly creative in every sense. The copywriting is just fantastic. I particulalrly like the third line (THIRD LINE!!!) on the home page which reads, and I quote: "Being basically Serbian, SGP is actually an international operation".]

True, but the ban being "offically lifted" and people wanting him back are two different things. Like I said above- I don't know the exact legalities of stefan being allowed into F1- but I'm betting it needs everyone to agree, all parties to the concord agreement must agree a change. etc.Derek Smith said:

I think it's fair to say that non of the info 'he' had was used for anything at McLaren, looked a lot more like he and Stepney were more interested in using it as a pitch to get into Honda at the time.

It was the disloyalty that got to me. Whatever the truth about the way Stepney was treated by Ferrari, no one has suggsted that Coughlan was anything but a trusted and valued employee, suitably, if not overwhelmingly, rewarded for his contribution. And he betrayed that trust.
He had a chance to stand up and be counted during the enquiry - I know Mosley had his own agenda - but chose not to. My understanding was (does anyone know anything to the contrary) that the info to Alonso and PdlRosa went through Coughlan.
Perhaps I'm over-reacting. The whole debacle was blown out of all proportion by Mosley and maybe it's rubbed off on me.
On another note: is that the way to get accepted by the other teams? Employ their nemisis?

In fact, weren't there two imprisoned Toyota employees who hardly got a column inch before it became a matter of winning or losing a championship against Mclaren influencing things? They're probably sending Stefan GP their CVs as we speak...
I very much doubt Mike Coughlan being involved with Stefan GP would be the clincher for whether the established teams could allow them in. More likely they'd assess the likelyhood of how their inclusion will affect revenues and on-track performance. I'd imagine the midfield runners will not be keen to see that car running against them, particularly at the start of the season.

The entry of Stefan GP would require the agreement of every team currently approved for 2010.According to James Allen, who's usually in the know about this kind of thing, Ferrari absolutely will not sign up to Stefan GP's entry whilst Coughlan is there.
