If you hear a number mentioned in a TV program and a fact with it do you feel compelled to work it out?
For instance I'm watching the day the immigrants left and they mentioned that one guy picket enough asparagus at 38p a kilo to earn £176 in a day, that made me want to work out how many kilos he picked and so i paused it to work it out, only for the voice over guy to say it was 500kg (although it was 463kg)
