I'm quite liking the look of one of these as a daily drive.
Does anyone know anything about them? Reliability, comfort, motorway munching, fun off road?
It clearly wouldn't be a hooning car... but i'm not in need of one of those at the moment smile

Thought i'd ask here before i spend time getting disappointed on a test drive.

Here is an example of what i mean:

Mistubishi Shogun SWB

I think the Range Rover was more you, or a Disco 3. This is probably very good, but I still vote no just on, well just on nothing really... just can't see you in one hehe

I always think the SWB models look a bit 'stumpy' whereas the LWB look right. I too think you are more suited to a RR or Discovery.

I could maybe see you in an Evo, but not in a normal one.
Mind you, the Evo's a bit vulgar and you're just not.
See?

Yep, i'm going to have to agree with everyone else - get a Disco/RR. Not a RR Sport though, "we" are not a tart's handbag wink

Thanks so far chaps.
Indeed i WANT another Range Rover, and would prefer a V8 Diesel, but can't justify the huge prices they are still commanding. Next bet is another V8 petrol... but a decent one is still quite pricey.
So, i thought i might slum it in one of these thingys for a while. I don't like the full Shogun, to me it looks "untidy" and i just don't want/need 7 seats - hence considering the smaller one.

Interesting feedback from Diz, maybe i should try one... or opt for an E38 7501 paperbag

Bit more panache than a Shog but still uber Jap reliable, loved mine. SE-L is the daddy as far as spec.

I had one of the Lexii 4x4's several times as a loaner when I had my GS430 - really really nice to drive, loads of kit and the typical Lexus luxury interior - could put on a sprint when required too... Driving a Shogun is like driving a van in comparison. But I guess they are better at towing caravans and trailers full of tarmac which is what most of them get used for... wink
