How much for a hot water cylinder?
Discussion
I could do with a bigger HW cylinder and have just been quoted supply and fit a 450x1200mm pre-insulated cylinder with new 3-port valve. It will also need a new Salamander flange for the shower supply. I know copper is expensive but I wasn't expecting a quote £525.
Is it fair or too much do you think?

I'm happy with the general system, it's just that there's only just enough hot water to fill the (new larger) bath - so if I accidentally run too much cold in, I'm stuffed!
Would you say the cost is roughly half parts and half labour? He's a local chap who's been recommended and seems pretty sound.

Just found these three on another site might not be the same make but a good comparison £293.48 + £50 for pipe, fittings and a new dose of scale inhibitor that's gonna be needed and a days labour price sounds very good as a good plumber would want £200 for a day.
He might have priced in £30 for the scrap value of the old cylinder in scrap

The simple solutuion would be to increase the number of *models involved and thereby reduce the volume of water required.Pic's on successsful implementation would be appreciated....
- and I'm not talking boats!

Like your thinking but suspect the models would cost more that a new cylinder...!
How did you get on with those RAW files BTW?
Excellent thanks (so far), I've only had a limited amount of time in front of the pc due to work and an impending house move! I will admit it is difficult to improve on the work you have already done, but they just lets me focus on specific areas of an image as necessary. How did you get on with those RAW files BTW?
......and that reminds me, I must give the misses a nudge about writing up that recomendation for you
