Cost of a bit of french polishing
Discussion
I am so glad this isn't in the lounge.
Has anybody had any professional furniture rennovation done? I have a couple of pieces of old walnut and mahogonay furnture which have some bits of missing veneer around the base (about 2-3 inches long and half an inch wide), one sideboard has two splits about 4 inches long in the veneer on the top surface ( I assume where sonmeone has has something wet stood).
I am assuming that they match and then splice in a piece of veneer and repolish but wanted a ball park figure so that I don't fall over backwards when the bloke comes to quote.
