iPhone Bluetooth disconnecting

Hi all

I have one of the early Jawbone Bluetooth units (fantastic noise cancelling) paired to an iPhone. Quite often I get a regular series of bleeps in my earhole (meaning the unit has disconnected from the phone). This happens when both items are virtually next to each other and is a reet pain! I've tried re-pairing the units and also resetting the Jawbone to no avail.

Any thoughts? Could there be interference from inside the car?
