I do believe you should have used the rated 18 icon. That's pure porn!

Not sure about the odd dark horizontal bar on the nose tho.

Just shows how much a different pic angle can make. In this picture looks amazing

In the other pictures bit too much for me. I prefer the Ruf as it is more subtle.

That would be the difference between a Press Release shot and a Dealer Forecourt Shot...

The current RUF mit slimcia girl profile is indeed sleeker than a shaven ferret but I do think Porschephiles are a little too harsh on the appearence of some of the alternatives.

Pour moi, Gemballa et al are no less worthy for perervance with the extreme extrapolation of the original gene sired from the mid 70's wide hipped gene and if that's considered a tad gauche of aesthetic or God forbid, even a smidgen Max Puppet, then that's really too bad.

Frankly, given a tiny fraction of Count Russe's weekly disposable, I'd be orf to Uncle Uwe's with a tan of cash and a rapidly scribbled order form with the notice 'EVO 750GTR' boldly headlining the signature...

Anyway, 'Alois' doesn't have quite the stomping ring of affirmative annexation that 'Uwe' does.

Uwe;it sounds like something that's just conquered the Sudaten lands.

Ludicrous. But superb.

There is a school of thought who consider the likes of Ruf and Gemballa as somehow, improper.

They are to the Stuttgart establishment, the brightest student in the most revered college who decided to rebel. He died his air orange, and was the first to deflower the head girl while the nice boys were'nt looking. He disrespects his tutors because , deep down, he has realised that he is in fact already smarter than them.

If people like these stay on the straight and narrow, they are the stuff of greatness. A Gemballa EVO GTR ( and most of this ilk ) is that boy.

The masters of the school have to publicly disown them and disapprove. But secretly, they must fear his potential...

You'll never get an official of Porsche to admit it, but some of them must really like these cars. I bet they keep pictures of them in the lockers in Stuttgart, or under the bed at home. Its their dirty little secret.

DeR are you really saying that you do not see RUF as head and shoulders above the alternative Porker modifiers? I will refer you to this thread post Brunters IV..in the hope that AdamT is able to bring "THE CAR" along.
Ruf do not look over the top and as with true quality, it is the attention to detail that you do not see that ,makes the difference. I refer to the internal roll cage,as an example, stiffening the structure to aid handling.
Addmitedly it may not cut it if one is cruising along the promenade at South Beach, but I do not do too much of that these days.
All IMHO of course but in terms of engineering excellence which Porsche toy with days now the bean counters are in residence RUF is Porsche nirvana!
p.s. Hope you are getting used to the seats....next step...GT3 seat for the office....6 point harness optional

Crystal Mark(tm)

I'm sure it goes like a startled ferret, but even DeR's unrestricted prose is not enough to win me over; it's still plain butt ugly, it is a Jordan of Maxxed cars.

But then to be honest, so is the starting point... At least RUF's R turbo uses the (IMHO more eye-pleasing) standard smooth and unassuming 'soap-bar' 996 body, more like a Maggie Gyllenhaal

Well Mr Yu needs to get himself a Ruf then, doesn't he? Nevermind "Godzilla" and such, a Nissan will never really float my boat. A Turbo R would be a great long-termer for the pages at the back of Evo.

DeR

I'm pretty certain if Count Russe had as much weekly disposable £'s as you deludedly imagine him to have, the EVO 750GTR would already be parked in the extensive garage wing of his fortified castle near Nurburg.

Nodesty will get you everywhere, Herr Daz; but the simple reality is that behind that thin veneer of moderated respectability, lurks the pan European, hedonistic automotive playboy king of the Monacco centric aristo jet set...

When not spanking fellow Dukes and Earles about Wipperman, Count Kaiser can be found in Romanesque repose aboard a Gulfstream G5, draped in silken toga and crowned with golden laurels, satiating his impeccable palette via an intoxicating combination of fine wines and carefully selected Hungarian whorage.

That such great virtue is countered by such admirable modesty simply adds to the gravitas of his stature but as one knows all too well, it is a tissue of whoppers.

Hail to thee, great nephew of the flying Fokker; see you on the only road that matters, the one called Bruntersplatzenflugelstrassenhimmelschweinhundt.

Leiberhoff.

P.S. Clubster; no I'm not saying the Max P Porksters are necessarily better or worse than les creations du Ruf but for me, a GTR750 might better distill my twisted taste for the breed than aught else (even though Adam's RUF will undoubtedly dominate the day on the 21st...)

PS - To those who are wondering, Sir Hugo Drax (Moonraker) was the greatest ever Bond Villain.

There's every need to quote the boy Drax; quality meglomania not seen on a scale since a twelfth century yob from Mongolia became frustrated by the inadequacy of his dad'd back garden and said, "hello, is that China?"
