An idea to stop my whinging threads

Right, I can't be the only one that gets tired of reading the same phrases getting trolleyed out on every other thread when people can't think of thier own things to say.
Can I?
HOw about making a list of all the things that have long sinced ceased to be funny but that people feel the need to trolley out every 12 seconds.
Then (and this is the genius bit), Im sure the mods would be delighted to sticky it and we can link to the thread at the beginning of every other thread- to save people bothering to retype these PH cliches.
Plus I stop annoying people by whining all the time.
Everyone is a winner.

Isnt +1 more of a quick way of saying "I agree"? I wouldnt include that on the list unless you want to include stuff like IMO, HTH etc

Im not sure this is a good idea, but what if you adjust the swear filter to catch these things.

Instead of the normal graphic appearing for swear words a new one could be created. Something along the lines of "Not Funny" "Unimaginative"

Good idea. Will make asking questions about a diesel BMW difficult so the overly smug owners may have to go away too.

I know another forum that does exactly that with the swear filter.
Many of those phrases are edited to "I have no original thoughts of my own"

I've seen this a few times on here, granted its usually in General Gassing, spouted by chavs, but its still infuriating.

It mostly crops up on those other forums that have stupid avatar pics and half a page of signatures per post.

...you might have the odd gripe with PH - but thank god we don't have signatures!!

The thing is that you're always going to get new people to the forums who've never heard/seen some of these 'in' jokes. Most people dont repeat them ad nauseam as most people realise the joke wears off pretty fast.
