Sony Vaio, Windows 7 and scrolling touchpad
Discussion
I've got a 5-ish year old Vaio laptop and I put Windows 7 on it yesterday. It's now running mostly as I'd like, but the touchpad has lost the scrolling functionality when you drag your finger down the right-hand edge. Could anyone advise on how to fix this as there doesn't seem to be much support for Windows 7 on the Sony website.
It's a VGN-FS series of that's of any use.
Thanks.

Most likely a driver issue. Can you update the driver? Not sure exactly which touchpad device you have on that laptop.
Im guessing its going to be synaptics and maybe the lastest driver from here will work.

It is the synaptics one. I installed the driver fine, but when it restarted the keyboard wouldn't work, so I couldn't enter the password to log in. All I could do was reinstall Windows.Im guessing its going to be synaptics and maybe the lastest driver from here will work.

I won't be trying that again in a hurry, so I'll just live with it. Anyway, it's not like the arrow keys are miles from the touchpad. Thanks for the help anyway.
