Another Tuscan V Skyline thread!

I Followed one of the new Nissan Skylines today, white one. Impressive acceleration, creates a nice black brown haze out the back when the loud pedal is fully depressed.
Your all be pleased to know that despite me following, and consequentially being a split second later on the gas, my 4.3 Tuscan was not slower

I stayed in 5th and there was not much in it. He pulled away initially, then it equalled out.
Its a big car from the rear!

Thats good to hear... Those machines are fast maybe not everyones cup of tea but I remember getting munched up and spat out by some old white R32 or R33 a little while back in Epsom area, I had a lightning start but he was still miles ahead, I couldn't believe how fast he was I still think to this day he must have had a fair few extras on his engine to destroy my lowly std 4.0l as easily

I wonder how the new Power 4.5 would do?

I'm not a Tuscan owner so excuse my bursting in.. I have friends running skylines R33 & R34 and to be honest you'll be lucky to find a standard one.
The 2.6 6-pot engine they run can be tuned for serious HP. (1000 is not unheard of). However, on the bright side they are flippin big and flippin heavy so they do need alot of power to be that quick.

I wouldn't be too upset with a 4.0 N/A Tuscan getting 'munched up' by a heavily modified R32 or R33.

As for the old one's in todays turms they aint that bad on weight, 32 GTR are around 1400kg and 33 GTR's just over 1500kg, a friend of mine once took me out in his R33 GTR it was not standard but was not one of these 800bhp monsters you here about, it is to this day the most savage machine I have been in, and the noise it made was gorgeous not to mention the 4ft flames on the overrun. It felt truely unbeatable from a set of lights. The way in which they launch off the line is a different class

Well done Mark, glad you were able to put up a fair fight!

Echo the thoughts on modded syklines - the standard unmolested ones are rare as far i as have seen. I have a friend with an R32 running around 600bhp, its a real sleeper, but he has put many porsche and ferrari owners back in their box.

I have to admit the weight thing was mostly aimed at the R34. My friends V-Spec one is nice but feels like a very big GT.
Have to admit I do like the R32 as it has a bit of a raw, angry feel about it.

Still a Tuscan still wins hands down for alround sense of occasion IMO.

As said my mates too are in to there JDM cars And you wont find many Bog standard Skylines kicking around lots will be upwards of 400bhp as it is easy to tune to these levels and more.

And when they are tunned up they are not that reliable as well like to eat coil packs and your wallet

I keep telling them there better of with TVR reliabilty
