At work in the office we have to have mobiles off or on silent. Now I am on call sometimes and allowed my phone to ring out loud for on-call work only, my current phone won't (or at least i can't get it to) so is there a phone that will allow just 1 or 2 numbers to ring whilst the rest are silent? Ideally a smartphone but not essential.

On my HTC I can select numbers to 'send to voicemail' Although to do it to my full phone book would be a bit long winded..

Pretty sure an iPhone will let you set personalised rings for each of your contacts. Mind you, there's no save-able profiles on it, so would probably be a bit of a faff to set up/use.

Sony Ericcson W580I you can set up a allow list that will only allow certain numbers to call, you can activate and de activate in seconds.
