Monitor Resolution Query

I've just purchased a new Dell 2209WA monitor and set the resolution to the recommended 1680 x 1050 by using the properties setting via the desktop but now I can't read the left hand side of my e-mails in Outlook as they're cropped.

I'm obviously missing something simple but it's driving me nuts.

Any help much appreciated

Go through the menu and check the horizontal hold or its modern day equivalent. There might even be an autoset button.

right click at the top of outlook and check you have the window maximised

Seems only to have affected the first e-mail I received after installing the monitor so proably something to do with the way it was formatted by the sender

I didn't check the others - see what a hard day at work does to logical thinking !!!
