Being off the coast of Australia I'd have thought it would have melted by now, raised sea levels and killed everyone.

Well, it isn't warming so now they are looking for a reason why...

This is the best that they can come up with. Though I don't see them explaining why the AGW lot were claiming that the polar ice caps would melt and raise sea levels and still be too hot whilst this appears to suggest that it will be cold.

I'm sure I've seen a movie about something like this with a meteor heading for earth... Why can't they just land on it, drill some holes, plant some charges and break it into lots of pieces which will melt more quickly and cause less disruption? Or how about towing it to the coast and beaching it, then chiping off bits and selling them for cocktail parties and coolers smile
