Looking for a system for the kitchen.
I like the style of the Bose and the fact that the speakers are integral, I am sure the quality would be more than OK for a 15ft square kitchen, however I can't seem to bring myself to spend £600 on the product.
I am looking for a digital radio and CD player.
What would be a good alternative that sounds great, looks lovely and hopefully is a bit cheaper than the Bose ?

I've got a Robets Sound 53, which for kitchen use I find perfectly acceptable, around £230.00

This looks OK: http://www.getdigitalradio.com/digital-radios/view... but may not be easy to find as it's discontinued.

This has DAB but no WiFi radio: http://www.getdigitalradio.com/digital-radios/view...

I think I would consider this: http://www.dixons.co.uk/product.php?sku=908766&amp...

If you want something that looks and sounds great your could do worse than one of these:

Monitor Audio Airstream 10

no CD player but it does have wifi radio and can connect to your home media server for ripped CDs

Bose is the way to go, but £600 on the product is not cheap but why don't you try ebay.

Have to disagree on the 'Bose is the way to go' post. £600 is waaaay too much money for what it is. The £600 is paying for their marketing budget - not their product.

For the same Money, you can get a Teac CD/Dab Tuner box with USB/SD input and have £350 left for some good, small, discreet speakers. (But appreciate the comment about convenience)
