I have a Snooper Syrius 600 Plus and it's really rather good. The navigation instructions are clear, concise and timely. The routing is as good as anything else that I have tried. The widescreen display is really clear easily legible even at quite oblique angles. Battery life could be better at a bit over two hours but the power lead makes that irrelevant. The only complaint that I have about it is that the speed camera database is not as accurate as my origin b2, but then again nothing is. It will still alert you to all fixed cameras and mobile sites even if there are a few false positives. Build quality is excellent.

If I had to choose over again I would probably make the same decision.

I have a snooper strabo, Came as a free gift with a mobile phone deal.

I'm impressed so far, only used the tom tom before this so can only compare with that. the gatso data base is free to update and seems accurate and gives plenty of warning. Directions are clear and easy to follow.

Only negatives are the voice alerts could do with being louder, on the motor way with road noise and music it is hard to hear. takes a while to react to you going off route (more so than the tom tom). The display doesn't show the speed limit for the road you are on (unless of a gatso alert)

to make it louder you need this: http://www.ge-tectronic.de/onlineshop/index.php?ca...

I alreaady have one in the Audi and now I'm getting another one for the TVR. I might make a simple video of the easy installation when I get it and post it on Youtube if I can find the time.

I have a syrius prolone 2000.Lifetime speed cameras has to be a bonus.

Have to say if it was not for garmins liking of country lanes that would allways be my preference.

Syrius has me slightly confused on roundabouts, too many times I have gone round and round as not sure which turning to take, never happened with the garmin.Like the BIG mobile and gatso type alerts on the syrius.

Really? Even though it says quite clearly e.g., "In 700 yards, at the roundabout, take the second exit". And then when you get close, "Now, at the roundabout, take the second exit". And finally, if the roundabout is big enough, as you approach your exit on the roundabout, "Now, exit".

How much clearer do you need it to be?

Sometimes it misses a road.Sometimes the exit now is too soon or too late.
Just trying to think of a comeback to that pompous ,patronising post of yours.Thought of a few very easily however I have more class than that so I will just wish you luck Strangely Brown
