Nice! Looked like alot of fun. You can really get a sensation of the acceleration just by watching the video, looks like you are going to take off on the run way! biggrin

If I had he cash I would buy one myself.

As for the vid, seemed to me a lot of foot down on the straights and a brown trouser sensation on the bends.

I was expecting a bit more.. go on be more aggressive and push the car to its limits..

Great show of driving skill, curious to know what was your weapon of choice before the gtr. Also the evo seemed like it too had some brutal accelaration out of the corners.

Excellent video! Looks a lot more snappy at the limit than I expected, though I suppose you don't get infamous grip levels without an aggressive setup.

Interested to know if you left the gearbox in auto or were manually shifting?

still having problems with the new pads?
Perhaps the OEM ones should be chucked back on?

Cool video, slow lap though wink

Thats how I tend to be at go karting, go for the most ridiculous powerslides in the corners as its very fun, but you get overtaken biggrin

Yes, that evo did look rather quick, and loud!!

Er, you might, but I didn't; not even close. wink
Godzilla was easiest the fastest car there by a significant margin according to all the onlookers, even against some nicely tuned Skyline R33 GT-Rs etc.

With all respect, you couldn't catch that Evo 6......period.

By far and away the Cobb AccessPort tuning device. It simply plugs into the OBD port and you can upload remaps within minutes.
Some details here: http://www.auto-journals.com/journals/Nissan?model...

GTC who supply the UK/Euro Cobbs also have the world's leading R35 mapper and he's cracked codes the Japanese and US guys haven't managed to despite having had the car for nearly two years longer than us in some cases.

The only other performance mod I've had fitted is the stunning Akrapovic Evolution titanium exhaust system which surprisingly netted another 30hp over the Milltek Y-pipe I previously had.

Oh and K&N air filters which probably don't add much power in isolation but help a tuned car breathe a bit better.

so you've stopped your modifying bug have you? hehe
fab piece of kit being used as intended.
im surprised to see 30bhp on an exhaust change? the old one that restrictive? is the new one that much louder?

Nice vid mate,

Would you not try to feather the throttle a bit on corner exit to avoid oversteering, might be a bit quicker?

Saying that you did a good job not to spin it in the greasy conditions and it looked a lot of fun

I wasn't particularly trying to drive fast, just to really explore the handling characteristics well beyond the limit with VDC Off, something I wouldn't necessarily do on a proper race track in the wet.

You got any clips of you not just playing about in it?

Would be interesting to see how it really compares to a standard one.

I like the fact that the Evo seems to be driving neatly trying to get the most out of his car and even with your tail out tomfoolery you still catch him. It's also good to have high resolution video smile

Great Video!

I believe you and I have chatted in the past Godzilla.

I have a bit of first hand Skyline experience, can out accelerate them easily (production cars) 1196 Lbs Heavier than me, but I have little to no traction!
