XJ8 abs light

my 1990 XJ8 4.0 aouto has recentley had the gearbox changed, ever since the abs light stays on. any ideas, Keith

You need to have the fault memory read really.

The light can come on for a number of reasons, could be an unrelated wheel speed sensor issue.

Did the people that fitted the gearbox not road test it and see the light on??

The car actualy belongs to a freand of mine, who does not do computors, the car developed a fault it would drive forwards only slowly reverse was ok and the abs and engine and box light came it was taken to a gearbox "specialist" and after £600 came back working with abs light still on, Keith
