I can't recall that I put the date in my post, did I ?

Either way, I assume maybe just the one then.

Trouble is, unless the weather is exceptional it does get a bit boring if you have been before.

True. But this time I'm hoping for a bit more speed as I will have a few more ponies to play with.

It is a high speed event organised by Craigw and takes place at a well known vehicle proving ground, go on to gassing station and look under events

Well, last time was 160. I now have a FP intercooler, H&S exhaust and M400 fuel pump and Mr Yellowshed will being plugging his laptop in this week for a bit of mapping jiggery-pokerrey. It's had a power run before and came out at 330. If I'm lucky that might be increased to 400. So, I'd say maybe 170 ?

good luck, I found that the Noble brick effect kicked in at 163 (over and over again) and needed a lot of power to get over that

That may well be correct, they do have all the aero-dynamics of a house brick !

But I'm sure after the re-map it will be much better for the road and I was worried about running lean flat out so that's why I'm having it done.

Remember that it's mainly air resistance that limits top speed, and given that to increase the speed above what it maxes out is a cubed law.....

i.e. if your bhp before the changes was, say, 330, then if you add 10% to that to 363, your top speed only goes up by 3% (i.e. to 165 mph)

To get from 160 to 170 (a 7% increase), if your 330 is accurate you'd need a 22% power increase which would be 402bhp.....

But given my 436 only got 169 at VMAX I'd suggest you didn't have 330 before I'm afraid, and I'd guess you aren't going to see 170. Sorry.

I got 180mph bouncing off the rev limiter. That took 500bhp+.

Yep, based on my 436 you'd need around 510bhp to get 180.
