Macro videography?

After watching some of this guys stuff on vimeo (previously posted on here but can't find the thread to post in!) I'm aboslutely stunned at the quality of the images taken so have been playing around with the video function on my 7D with 60mm macro.

I know that the videos he has produced are far away from straight out of the camera and that he uses After Effects but they are stunning.

Does anyone on here use after effects and if so are there any good books out there for beginners?

It was my thread that I posted about that video! Anyway I use After Effects a little bit - mostly for timelapse stuff. Not sure about books but I have just been searching google for tutorials about whatever effect I am after and there is absolutely loads of information. Sorry I can't be anymore help than that.
It would be nice to see some of your macro videos though.

Just getting used to it really and something new to play with and keep me occupied.

Used to use After Effects some years ago and one of the better books I came across was Adobe classroom in a book:

Using lessons, starting with simple principles and building upon what you learnt, progress onto more complex projects. I found them easy to understand and well written. I assume it uses the same principles with the current editions of AE and if applied to other Adobe software, I would recommend them as a good base to build upon.
