Aberdeen is an absolute joke at the moment, was taking the parents into town yesterday and going up Don St. in the pishing rain, hit a pothole and there was an absolutely massive bang, car jolted and gave a hell of a fright. Car seemed alright (And nothing fell off the dashboard, suprising for an MG!) but it's taking the piss, and that road is well known for being a state.

And while i'm ranting, idiot drivers going about the place, had several people pull out infront of me last night and a suprising amount of people going about with either 1 headlight, or none!

Aberdeen, it's lovely eh?

I can't remember exactly where it was (think it was Auchmill Road)...but I saw a pothole earlier this week and it had an orange cable sticking out from it. Traffic light cable I'm guessing?

'Tis extremely pish!

Glasgow's not much better in places... coming (from the South) through the Clyde Tunnel, and then turning off to get onto the Expressway is a nightmare at the moment - I think I counted about a dozen potholes within a km or so, and some of them look deep enough to cause damage if you're car's low...

Going up from Grandholm, past the nursery.

Entrance to bridge of don academy is bad, I know it's only into a car park for community centre, school and church but it's a minefield!
Will have to get a picture of it.

Aha, that Don Street (Woodside) ... I thought you meant the real Don Street (Old Aberdeen / Seaton). wink

It didn't look so bad when the 'Street View' car drove up it ...

It was indeed Auchmill road.

Anybody dared driving along Riverview Drive in Dyce? The whole road is actually just one big pothole.

it is murder and that is in a very normal almera, the slip road onto the M8 coming off the expressway is pretty bad and the m8 is covered in potholes. it was bad before the snow, a lot worse now

I drove the Tarland-Westhill road this afternoon; not only does it have 10ft+ walls of snow on both sides of the road for 2/3 of the entire distance (and in most places only 1 lane open), most of that road is rutted, espcially the last few miles into Tarland. I've lived out there for 26 years and I've never seen that road as bad as it is right now frown

Oh yes, the M8 is in a dire state. Try heading westbound through the roadworks at J3 on the lane 1 route and it is impossible to avoid the many potholes that have appeared in the tight, narrow lane between the cones. Heading eastbound, round about J4, there's a 100 yard stretch between the carrageways where the day joint in the asphalt has turned into one large pothole. I'd hate to hit that when changing lane.

Funny thing is, that road was closed for a while whilst it was being resurfaced not that long ago. Aberdeen City Council sure as hell know how to bodge a job!
