Some of the categories probably overlap and there's bound to be something I've missed, but what best describes your track toy? Curious to see what the percentages are.

I voted other road sports car as I couldnt find a category that states 'Silver Estate car with baby seat in the back'
Mind you 480ish Bhp as standard makes it track worthybiggrin

Sounds interesting. How far have you modified it? That must turn a few heads amongst all the usual track day fayre. I've seen a couple of Ferraris on track, but never a 400-Series.

Indeed, more details please!!

I really like these cars and perversely they actually look quite compact these days compared to modern family hatches.

Really? I must admit it's been a very long time since I've seen one in the flesh. Damnit, I feel a visit to the classifieds coming on...

Removed a lot of the weight from it (air con, electric releases etc) which coupled with a more modern Motec ignition system and a 4 speed + overdrive auto box, makes it a bit of a sleeper biggrin
Other tweaks include a decent sports exhaust rather than the almost limo quiet 200+lbs factory job, the standard hydraulic Koni self level suspension is a small fortune to overhaul, so that was replaced with adjustable Bilsteins and H&R springs, modern wheels and tyres replace the ancient and rock hard Michelin Milimetric jobs which together with its diet and a set of Porsche "big red" brembo brakes, means it’s a little better round corners.

So nothing massively complicated or clever, but enough to give it some get up and go and upset the odd 348/355/360 driving novice round Oulton ................................................. and all for less than £8k including the car, who knows one day I may even have the spare cash to paint it and make it look pretty hehe
Next project when the bank manager isn’t looking too hard, is a Turbo R spec RR Corniche Coupe

As for the size of the thing here it is next to a Ghibli (about the same size as a E46 Coupe)

Track car? surely you mean Track cars as what self respecting petrolhead only has one? smile

1- Leave at 'ring car
2- Hardcore tracker for uk
3- Softer road & track tracker for euro trips

One car can't posibly fulfill all the criteria needed smile
