I'm looking to buy either the 'TomTom 750 GO live' or the 'XL live europe' sat nav.....but the '750 GO live' is a good £50 more expensive, for the only reason that it has bluetooth function. (I think)

Is this correct?

Does anybody know other differences between these two models?
I think the screen size is the same, the other options such as euro maps, IQ routes, live options are all there.....am I missing something else?

The 750 is WQVGA (480x272) and has a year's worth of Live services - it also has an SD slot so you can pop in more maps, music, etc.

The XL is QVGA (320x240) and has a month's worth of Live services.

Hi,

The only noticeable difference is the Go 750 has Bluetooth.

Currently TomTom are running a offer of 12 months free Live serivces, this end on the 5th April.

Let me know if you want pricing on both.

I probably have a better price on the Go 750.

Cheers

Yeah thanks for that.
What would be your price on the '750 GO live'?

I have just been doing a bit of searching;
(1) Halfords = £249 (+1 year traffic)
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/...

(2) TomTom = £249 (+1 year traffic)
http://www.tomtom.com/products/category.php?ID=0&a...

(3) Ebay = £198 (just 1 month traffic)

I'll order today if the price is right - I was going to go for these guys at £214.99 including the year's free service: http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=187564

How much can you beat that by?

My dad has the XL, I have a 530. The XL has a shorter battery life and is a thicker heavier unit. His XL also doesnt have auto zoom - when you approach a juntion it zooms in to show more detail then zooms out when you are bombing along A roads etc, I find that very handy.

Bluetooth on the 530 lets me get live traffic and also use it as a hands free for the phone. It even reads texts out to me !

Later units have traffic live built in via a vodafone sim so you dont need the bluetooth to get live traffic via your mobile any more.

I've been trying The Go750 out today (thanks Derek, great service!). Not bad at all. If anyone's interested, I'd recommend taking advantage of the year's free live subscription available until the end of this month. Take the cost of that off and it's only around 125 for the unit, which strikes me as a good buy.

Completely free if you are paying the £8 per month sub for Live services (after expiry of your free period).

Nice one.

Bought a 750 GO Live and it arrived today.

Nice tidy unit. Clear display.

Will be using this a lot on travels to Europe.
