Hi
Iv not had the cerb working properly since Christmas. Clutch/slave cylinder... Then flywheel (only because it was just to heavy) Then after trying to bleed it forever had to get a new bleed nipple, Then the master cylinder..
Well finished that last night and have just taken it out for a run, thought id go to Austec as I was out, That cost me another £760, (short induction Kit) Thought it would be rude not to buy something while I was there,
guess ill have to take it apart again at the weekend to fit it...........

You will need a remap if you fit that kit but I am sure they told you that.

bizarre. I'd be careful! You dont want to detonate your engine.

That seems a bit steep for a SI kit (?)

Great news! Glad to hear the car is working properly again. bet it felt good to be driving it again driving Fingers crossed you get no more issues. Gaz is right, i would leave the short hoses off until you can go back and have the map tweaked at the same time. Will only take a few minutes to change them over.

A few minutes !!!! 4 Hours. 2 to get the trumpets to fit the another 2 for the hoses, they all have to be cut and fitted. Price is what the full kit costs, If you only do the hoses its cheaper but then not worth doing. Austec said engine would be fine as long as not racing as been fully mapped previously, Need to remap to get the benefit and for long term good of the engine

I'd be interested to see your Austec Dyno graph and compare to mine once they are fitted and tweaked.

Paul remapped mine, but still on standard induction.

Personally I would be very dubious about that advice.
