and have dropped him a line to see if he's interested in doing a full set for the RV8.

Quite possibly! Got a bit more space now so looking to scale up the milling machine for a start. Missed a Bridgeport yesterday but got eyes on another, watch this space
CNC-capable lathe of a decent size may be more of a challenge. The one I had was a training lathe and it took longer to set-up the stock than it did to cut the part.
I keep thinking: if I won the lottery I could go out and buy a 5-axis CNC. But what would be the point? With that much money I could pay someone else to make stuff...

DJE (Nuneaton) were selling some a while ago. Keep meaning to get a set off him next time I order a few shiny filters.

Must add I have not been there for a few years so not sure if this info is valid.
