Idiot eats winning scratchcard

"Yes, sir. Just let me go to the very heavy safe we have on every flight that carries a store of £10,000 in used notes just in case anyone on board should happen to ever win a large cash prize."
The Darwin awards would have liked him to choke on the ticket, or open the door during the flight to perform a perfect flounce off the plane but he'd still get an honourable mention in the loony hall of fame.

Well ryanair have a sense of humour about this and have offered the prize to a chartiy chosen by people on their website.
The list of possible charities is amusing, even if this is just a publicity stunt.

In the past haven't Ryanair told passengers who have "won" things to sue them if they want their prize? The list of possible charities is amusing, even if this is just a publicity stunt.

Quote from the link you posted, notice they don't actually name a charity so nobody can check up afterwards who actually got the money?

Since this €10,000 prize will now go unclaimed Ryanair and Brand Force, the scratch card company, have decided to offer the cash to charity and have asked Ryanair passengers to vote on www.ryanair.com (until Fri 5th Mar) for which type of charity Ryanair should donate the €10,000 prize to, from the following list:
1. An Anger Management Charity
2. An Eating Disorder Charity
3. A Gamblers Charity
4. A Disruptive Children’s Charity
5. A Mental Health Charity
