Connected to Internet - Browser not working.

Before you ask, I'm on my iPod touch from the same connection.

Basically, nothing that needs a connection works. Internet Explorer, Safari, MSN etc. My computer says it's connected, but it just doesn't work.

I've gone onto IE > File > Properties, and it says Unknown Protocol.

I've gone on Troubleshoot on msn, and it says there's a problem with Default Gateway.

It was working before, but it went off at about 22.30. This happened yesterday too.

Everything else works fine: Xbox Live, brother's laptop, my iPod. It's just my computer.

Have I got a virus or something?

Proxy configured when there isn't one present?

(Can't remember exactly where the setting is, but I think it's in the Connections section)

Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings. They're all not ticked. Should they be?

Point your browser at http://66.102.9.103 (Google UK) - does that work?

Sorted now. I just right-clicked the icon on the bottom bar of the desktop and clicked on Repair. Thanks anyway chaps
