Why can't they turn the m25 into an autobarn between 1am and 4am. Or is that a really stupid idea.

Straw is exceptionally slippery, and I can't help but think having animals on the road is just daft!

I tend to agree. Not an unlimited speed but the 70 limit is achaic when you consider how far cars have developed since the limit was introduced.
The other thing that should be considered are traffic lights. It would be good if we introduced a system like that on the continent where you can proceed with cuation on flashing ambers. If there's one thing that makes my piss boil, it's sitting at a red light at 2am when there is absolutely nothing else on the road.

They won't do this until people learn about lane discipline, all the numpties out there that sit in lane four of five doing 60mph when there are no other cars around!!! They could always allow undertaking as well but then that would mean people would also have to use there mirrors!!!!LOL. until people learn to drive properly then they ain't gonna raise the limits!!!

I like the flashing amber traffic lights at night at suitable junctions, have often thought about this when on le continent!!!(again only issue is idiot drivers!!!)

Surely that time is when you are most likely to have drink drivers.. Wouldn't be a good idea having people going out for a blast after a bit of drink (and people defiantly would).

I flash my lights at some red lights as I'm coming up to them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

some traffic lights have vehicle sensors on top of them (like the tempoary ones) and flicking main beam on makes them spot you quicker, other lights have them set in the road thumbup

ETA and some just run a sequence and thats what causes those 2am "piss boiling" waiting at a red light moments smile

Myth - It does nothing.

Road Sensor loops or PIR type detectors
Not affected by "Flashers"

Obviously I would never do this, but at early hours and T-road traffic lights on red, some drivers have just treated the lights as stop signs smile
