You can use Adobe Lightroom to adjust the level of the shots in seconds. I would also invest in a ND grad filter as the top and bottom shots the blown highlights in the sky/sun have unfortunately ruined an amazing set of shots.
I actually used various ND and ND grad filters for the set to contain the ever brightening sunlight. Shot 3 is an HDR image which does need blending with one of the donor images to ressurect the blown hightlights.I have roughly 60 images to play with when I get the time.Although I have Lightroom I prefer CS4 for photo manipulation but as yet these shots have only been imported to Bridge, some merged with Photomatix and then resized for upload to Photobucket.

Not keen on the boats being visble in the first two, but that said the sky is lovely in those pictures.
yeah I know they are a bit distracrting, maybe I'll remove them before I process the shots for printing. These tankers been moored off shore for over a week now, they looked quite stunning when I arrived for the shoot, it was quite dark and they were lit up like xmas trees against the dark but lightening sky. Pity I didnt bother with a longer lens , Id got my 16 35 mm all setup with the Cokin filterholder anyway
