when test driving a standard 56 plate gallardo spyder at official lambo garage salesman said it didnt need a tubi as it sounded amazing as it is and extras like the tubi tend to devalue the car & the experience...my bottle crashed so i never did end up buying howver i feel i will this summer...any comments on extras like exhaust??incidentally drove 430 spyder at same time but smile just wasnt as big on my face

I'd never consider one with a Tubi. Or if I did it would be on the basis that I would be getting it decatted with a TUBI immediately.

Gallardo sounds absolutely magnificent with a TUBI. I really think you're leaving a lot of value on the table if you don't make the most of that exhaust note. Keep your old system and if the next owner wants stock it can be swapped out. Scuderia Systems are the boys to talk to.

brettguy it will prob be a suzuki swift sport as im selling my 107 in next 2 weeks and buying sport for my runaround...... so yep correct - big jump up the food chain..that brings me to my next question...insurance...i recall in summer 09 it was 700 quid for me to insure a Gallardo ONLY if i had 'experience' of driving supercars 'recently'...im 32...at 24 i bought a new 911...8 yrs ago!! - it didnt count so they wanted 3 grand to insure...anybody fancy giving me their supercar for some driving experience hehe...seriously - is there a way around my problem? ..i guess it's all down to how insurers interpret 'experience' as test driving a supercars i would doubt will suffice

Who are you insuring with?

I use the usual suspects (currently admiral) and didnt get asked about "experience". Also I have not activated my tracker and told them, and they are fine with that too (an extra £90 for the year NOT to have tracker on the car).

Tubi is a must have in my experience - I was severely underwhelmed by the standard exhaust note when test driving several cars. I am looking for a Gallardo, and it *has* to have a Tubi.

When I had my G I had the tubi fitted, and although it made an increased noise- which is what all tehse exhausts do- it also sent a horrible resonance through the cabin which i disliked very much.

I would never fit an aftermarket exhaust unless i had tried the 'upgrade' in a demo car- might sound good for a while but living with it is adifferent matter

There has been little or no resonance in the cars I have driven.
