Focus ST Radio code (Sony)

Hi all,

Does anybody know where I can get the radio code for my ST3 (6CD Sony player) without going to a Ford dealer and paying a fortune for the privilidge?

I don't know if there are any programmes out there that can generate codes but at Ford we have to put both the unit part number and serial number into Fordetis on-line computer system. We then have to verify our passwords to be given the code. Im not sure but I think a dealer is going to be your best option.

Ah bugger, I thought that may be the case.

Just on the off chance you know anything about the headunit in question..the radio/aux input works fine it just refuses to believe it has a CD player built in. Pressing the AUX/CD button just gives you the AUX option, not CD. Pressing the 'load' button just does nothing, as does pressing the 'eject' button.

I've read that there are some common problems with the 6CD Sony HU and that resetting the unit quite often fixes it...but I don't have the code for mine!!

Ever heard of this?

I've never heard of that personally but I'm pretty sure the software in those can be updated. But I haven't done it myself. I will have to ask about.
