Has anyone had any experience with BC Coilovers.....Worth fitting to an M5. Fully adjustable as I understand so you can go softer or harder than standard.

Stick with the Original stuff which is good enough for the Ring taxi's and good enough for the road.

Not really as black and white as that, stock is good but adjustable coilover kit can definately inprove your cars handling... even the M5!

Had the BC inverted jobs on my e36 M3, properly set up & cornerweighted, felt as good as the pss9s but at half the price.

The E39 is hardly a track car though is it?

I'm not sure I see the point in ruining the ride quality of what is one of the most superbly damped cars ever made, for the sake of flatter cornering prowess.

You are right it's not a track car but there isn't anything to say it casn not be got on road and track.....I will do a few track days a year in her so either going to leave it standard or have a play with the set up. Don't want to completely mess the ride up but my last cars have been Lotus, TVR, M3 CSL so I not too bothered about a harder ride. The BC Coilovers are adjustable as I understand and can be really flexible so harder or softer than standard.

A switch to coilovers will make the ride very harsh on UK roads. If you do track days then fine but if not then maybe a switch to Bilstein B8 shocks with lowered springs will do the job a little better.

Stock suspension is far too soft IMHO. A change to a decent set up will transform the car into someting quite special - and believe me it will be an excellent track car with the right set up.

Fitted a set of these to a mate's Imprezza. Very good quality for the money! Ride and handling compromise is excellent - can't fault them at all.
