It means Labour is heading for a total of 317 seats, nine short of an overall majority, with the Tories languishing on a total of just 263 MPs. Such an outcome would mean Brown could stay in office and deny Cameron the keys to No 10.
If Labour win power with a smaller share of the vote - there will be problems...andy400 said:
Yet more evidence to convince me that the majority of the British electorate are intensely stupid. How anyone can think another term of Labour wearing red ties is a good idea is utterly beyond me.
How anyone can think another term of Labour wearing blue ties is a good idea is utterly beyond me.Its not that folk think labour are good everyone thinks they are bloody awful
Just alot of people think the tories would be worse which isn't helped by cameron having the backbone of a jellyfish

Doesn't surprise me at all.
The longer Brown leaves the election the further into history the banks and expenses fiascos become.
The longer Brown leaves the election the more time voters have to assess Cameron.
The first three times I noted a comment made by cameron he was so off message (for me at least) it was obvious that the election was going to be a two horse race, not the walk over that we could expect.
Just to recap:
Do you honestly think that your windmill stunt fooled anyone? How long will it take just to repay the energy used to make it?
You know perfectly well that grants are only unaffordable because universities have been cynically expanded to hide youth unemployment by sending millions of kids to do courses that won't benefit them or the country one iota. We don't need half the country to have a degree, more like 3%, in which case grants might actually be a very simple and effective way to fund it.
Taxes and cuts. Have you noticed that we are 800 billion in the red? Stop mucking about and tell us how you intend to deal with it. At the moment it looks as if you are totally incapable of doing what is necessary. That in turn means you aren't fit for the job.

Just to recap:
- I'm so green I just stuck a windmill on my roof
- We can't afford to reinstate student grants
- We won't be a party of cuts and low taxes

I'd rather take a chance on the party who 'might be crap' rather than the party who 'are crap'.
A natural result of the blindness of some perhaps.
Labour has its natural base of the client state, plus tribalist supporters.
Given the electoral system the Tories need every right thinking person to vote for them. Instead some would seem to prefer a Labour government because the Tories are not ideologically 'pure' enough.
I can't really see the logic there i'm afraid. The Tories aren't sufficiently right wing, so lets ensure a Labour victory, to complete the destruction of this country.

I wonder if these latest 'scare' polls will cause a focusing of minds and repair the lead?
I don't know. I rather think that many once Tory voters will now put their cross next the UKIP candidate instead. Thus diminishing further the chances of the Tories getting into power. And let's face it, CMD is not doing much to dissuade me not to vote UKIP instead of his lot. The ONLY reason I shall vote Tory is to try to prevent the hypocritical country destroying scum getting another term.

I fking hope so. I'm so broke I can't afford to leave the UK. If that bunch of s get back in this country will be fked for the next 50 years. I'm not kidding, this country will be destroyed.I saw this this morning and felt physically sick. The thought of working like a dog so that these bds can give the money that I earn to chav scum, europe and themselves scares me to hell.

There are two problems1 The torys aren't sufficiently anything they are a wishy washy bag of nothing
2 In this grand democracy the only say i have in how this country is run is one little X every 5 years. That is it one little X. i can protest and shout and write letters till i am blue in the face but all that is listened to is that little X.
I'm not going to put that X next to wishy washy nothing. it is going against someone or something with some balls be it BNP, UKIP or an independent. as they are not mainstream and i cannot vote for the mainstream as the mainstream (labour and tory) are both useless.

I think people are sick of the current politicians, the expenses scandal has had more impact than they realise and the lies about the economy, MMGW, immigration etc have not gone unnoticed. CMD doesn't offer anything new, just more of the same and we are compelled to vote for him or Brown. People don't want a patch like a bad road repair, they want a new road altogether....IMO

So you vote in the BNP or UKIP. Do you think they are going to listen to you and react any more than the mainstream parties do now? Don't be silly.
Nope Labour will get in
But the tories might look at the fringe parties getting votes and actually come up with some decent policies to get the country great again
or more likely
Space aliens will invade and take over the planet

With that (quite plausible) scenario in mind, I have no problems whatsoever in ‘wasting my vote’ to UKIP – and I never thought I would ever turn away from voting Tory – but they’ve convinced me, their mandate stinks as bad as Labour's.
Again - Boiled or fried?

By all means protest vote, but don't pretend the people in the fringe parties have a chance or anywhere near the mental capability to ever actually run a real country. If the individuals concerned were any good they'd have succeeded in the mainstream parties, where they would have a chance of power. The fact they haven't suggests they haven't got what it takes.
