Audi 80 4 pot to 5 pot conversion
Discussion
Hello people,
just need a bit of technical advice on whats involved in a engine conversion for my Audi 80 quattro.
Right lets get to the point, my Audi has that 1.8i 4 pot which is ok if you like frowning, so I would like to put a 5 pot in it which if your an Audi Nut like me you know why lol!
So...does anyone know if there is a 5 pot where the engine mounts are pretty similar (or a hopefull bolt out bolt in job ;-P) or what would be the best course of action, that won't mean too much cutting and grinding in the engine bay and also would a 10v be the better option with the likes of wiring loom than a 20v?
Probally a bit long winded really sorry about that, but if anyone can help that'll be great.
cheers guy's and i'll upload pics if I work out how to do it lol.

thnking on though whereas 4-cyl rads are fitted centrally behind the radiator grille, fitting the longer 5-cyl engine requires the corresponding 5-pot radiator installing over towards the nearside of the engine bay- so lots of things apart from just the engine will need swopping.
would have thought selling your car and buying a 5-cyl one instead would work out easier.
