any warrenty deals out there

have been advised that we could purchase a years warrenty from ???? if we can show our car has been looked after. having just got our tam private would consider purchasing some thing for piece mind.. any pointers guys thanks yet again for helping a newby owner..

Save your money and start a slush fund.
I would imagine the age will rule it out of most warrentys and they are a waste of money anyway.

I think Barry's response is a bit sweeping and categorical. In my experience an aftermarket warranty has been invaluable (Motorplan). Nonetheless, after £3k+ worth of waranty work over past 3 years for a premium outlay of £795, I've been declined cover on a 7 year old/43k car this year and so you might struggle to find cover. Barry's view is perhaps a bit biased, but his recommendation is probably sound.
