Alright chaps,

My parents have gone away for a week and have trusted me with looking after the home. Of course no sooner had they left but the cat did a massive smelly st on the cream living room carpet.

I've tried to clean it up with Vanish to no avail, so do you guys have any tips for removing it?

Thanks in advance,
Adam.

Feed it loads of cream coloured crayons?

No more cleaning needed after then.

Doesn't actually remove the stain though...

Try ChemDry - if it doesn't warrant getting the man in, you can buy a can of their special carpet stuff. Actually, as it's not your carpet and not your cat, the olds can pay for it smile

Check under the sofa to see if there'a already any squares missing, if so, cut another one roughly the same size of the ststain. If not, new square cut under sofa, cut out ststain, fresh carpet glued in. Walk away whistling if asked

There is a product called "Simple Solution: Cat Stain and Odour Remover"

Get some of that.

I think you can suck it out like a snake bite as well.
I'm pretty sure you're supposed to pcensoreds on it first, although that might be for a jelly fish sting.

Just use a brush, hot water and flash and scrub like you've never scrubbed before.

Use the cat to scrub the stain then throw it away. You will have a clean carpet and no chance of it happening in future.

Seriously, the cat would rather not have to sh*t there.
Was there access to outdoors/litter tray? They are fussy buggers and would much rather take care of business in gravel-like area.
If I was you, once all is clean, get 2 or 3 trays and leave them out with cat litter.
Save yourself doing the cat sh*t cleanup routine again!
