Seven of us are off to Munich on the 19th Sept to enjoy 3 days at the Oktoberfest. We went last year and had such a good time we've booked again this year. My question is, does anyone know how you get reserved tables?. Every search I've done brings up nothing other than you get them from the brewery who sponsers the tent(no luck)or they are passed down in the family following a death. It must be possible.

I think most are corporate, but there are some you can just enter, last time we were just enjoying the jovialities in the English Garden with a few locals when we were then 'pressganged' and ended up in some big marquee. The beer was free and they even fed us...don't think I have ever been as pissed.

AFAIK You can reserve tables on the official oktoberfest website but they can only be booked for parties of 10+ people. Best thing to do is befreind some locals and get them to invite you into there booth as we did in the Lowenbrau tent last year biggrin
