Surely the only way round this problem is to move to another tax haven that is not in danger from the US/UK authorities? Bringing a large amount back into the UK will impose a large risk.

What is the plan for the cash once back in the UK. You will be fairly limited in what you can do with a large sum, apart from keep it under the mattress.

would have thought so too, Labaun, Dutch Antillies, etc? Probably want to get it into some sort of wrapper as well rather than just stacks of wedge.
