Recommend me some films
Discussion
Looks like I have another 3 weeks of being signed off work and am probably soon to start getting seriously bored.
Can the PH collective recommend me some decent films to pass the hours. Obviously this is a how long is a piece of string question but generally anything drama/thriller/crime etc that requires a bit of thinking as opposed to the special effect laden rubbish with a story that would insult the intelligence of an 5 year-old. Probably not of much help, but stuff I have enjoyed over the years has been films like usual suspects, seven, saw, killing room, district 9 (yeah special effects all over the show I know, but very interesting story), V for vendetta, inside man, goodfellas and then the usual blokey die hard type stuff.

"The Prestige" will get your brain thinking

Crime wise "Sherlock Holmes" is upposed to be pretty good, not yet seen it myself yet.

If you liked Se7en - then "Along came A Spider", "LA Confidential" and "Phone Booth" immediately spring to mind.
Along came a Spider is far better as a book........ Actually, what about some books? Lightning by Koontz, or even the Frankenstein Series by Koontz. Or 48, Moon and Rats by Herbert.
Highly recommend Fear of a Black Hat. Very very funny stuff http://uk.rottentomatoes.com/m/fear_of_a_black_hat... Think of it as a early 90s hip-hop Spinal Tap.
I would suggest that if you are stuck for the next three weeks that instead of films, you get some box sets of tv series to watch - most Blockbusters do them now.
You could get The West Wing or maybe watch a series of 24 in real time for example
