My friend cares for disabled children and "sleeps in" 3 nights a week. The trouble is the charity she works for is reducing her pay to £30 for a 9hr night!!!

She is all set to quit but my question is what about minimum pay? and does this apply as a sleep in care assistant??

I think minimum wage does not apply to time on call.
And even if she is up working all night, if the employer is cute, they can find a way around it... rent her the room she is sleeping in, maybe?

Charity... is she classed as a volunteer and the payments are classed contractually as just generosity.
