Law of the land. No one can be paid less than minimum wage regardless if it's apprentice or anything else. If she's not getting paid then she has the right to complain.

So worst case they should be paying £95 a week but other sites seem to make this an optional gentlemans agreement type of thing.

I won't be so abrupt as you as I have a brain cell. I happen to work with this sort of thing every day, it's part of my job. I know what I'm talking about. A quick Google you say prove it oh great keyboard warrior.

You clearly need to find yourself a new job, or at least read up on what is actually right so you can give the right advice in you job.

The CAB quote below is off their website. I have had a lot of people from the like of Toni&Guy and trainee mechanics asking if it was legal. Sadly it is.

The company is investing in their training for the future, they should be grateful.

I'm not saying this with any confidence -

but what i understand is that an apprentice can be paid as little as 99p an hour. When i turned 19 and had worked for my company for over a year my wages when up but not enough to match the minimum wage can i claim for this money?
Also i have been unfairly dismissed from the company(see another post), could i claim this money from my previous wages?
