Films where you want to tell the characters what to do...

EDITED TO ADD A SPOILER WARNING For Saving Private Ryan, a film that has been out for 12 years, but some people may not have seen yet
Just watching Saving Private Ryan, when they attack the German radar base I'm willing them to kill the German soldier who survives. If only they did, then he wouldn't be alive to kill Tom Hanks's character at the end of the film !
Does anyone else have any ?

Stephen King's Cujo (more with the book than the film):
'Your car's not working well, so you're going to drive out into the desert with a child in the back in the hope that the guy out there (the one with the very big dog) can fix it'? DON'T DO IT!!! DON'T DO IT!!! Call out the AA instead!

Most horror films in the last 20 years (scream, Halloween, Friday 13th etc etc).
You know the ones - they get to the end, where they 'think' they've killed the monster/serial killer/bogeyman and they start to relax..
GO BACK AND FINISH HIM/HER/IT PROPERLY - HACK OFF IT'S HEAD OR SOMETHING. DON'T JUST ASSUME YOU'VE KILLED IT - GO BACK AND MAKE SURE, AND GET A 'TROPHY' WHILE YOU'RE AT IT!!

the German doesn't kill Tom Hanks, he kills the Jewish guy
Having just watch the film I have to disagree, it was the same soldier they released at the radar site. After he has shot Miller he then surrenders to Upham who saw him shoot Miller. He recognises Upham and pleads with him by name not to shoot him but this time Upham does what they should have done back at the radar station.I know there are plenty of other films where I do this, but am struggling to come up with examples at the moment.
Got some
Green Mile, two bits. One where they let Percy run the execution and he deliberately doesn't put water on the sponge. And the bit where they execute Coffey - I wanted them to somehow fake his death.
The Mist, the very last bit of the film - why didn't he hold on a few more minutes before making his choice.
Seven, telling Brad Pitt not to leave his wife home alone.
All of the above were amazing stories, made more so by taking the paths they did.

Loads.. For example, any horror film - I am saying, No you stupid b***ch, don't go and investigate the noise by yourself with a torch.... Then they die, and I say I told you so......
This is true. I always think, 'Why are you going up those stairs on your own to find the noise in the haunted house with nothing more than a torch!'
Like f
k i'd do that!RedLCRB0b said:

Believe me, it is worth it simply to gain an understanding (not that a film can ever be remotely close to reality) of what those men went through on D-Day to liberate Europe and protect those freedoms we take for granted.

off that post. The film has been out since 1998 and has been on TV countless times since then. If you can honestly say you have never seen it in that time, then I apologise for ruining some of the ending for you. Maybe reading a thread with the title I gave this one wasn't such a great idea though.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
