Hello All,

Me and a few mates are heading to Le Man for the first time this year. We're all on Sports bikes so not much room for luggage.

We're all booked in to the Pistonheads site courtesy of Brian at First Tickets. Arriving on Friday 11th and returning on Monday 14th June.

If anyone out there would mind taking our tents (no more than four 2 man tents in total) in their car we'll bung you £10 per tent for the trouble, so a handy £40 towards your petrol money!

I'm in West London/ Middlesex area and a mate is in Laingdon, Essex so if you're near either of these then we can drop the tents round to you a few days before the trip.

Best way to contact me is on 07879 457 760 or c7ll@yahoo.co.uk.

Cheers,

Chris.

Can't you get a tent that's easy to carry?

Single skin tents pack pretty small (small enough to strap to the bottom of a smal ruck sack, or strap across your pillion seat) and are dirt cheap. I paid £6 for one, and £10 for one with a porch. Cheap enough to not bother bringing it back! (But I'm so tight I still did - probably wouldn't if it had been raining. (Small enough to strap to the bottom of a smal ruck sack, or strap across your pillion seat.)

I went by bike last year and fortunately someone took a bag for me but my backup plan was sending a parcel ahead by FedEx.

I've been to Le Mans twice now by bike, both times on an Aprilia RS250 so not the biggest bike in the world and taken my own gear.

Managed to buy the smallest tent I could find, you need to get one with short poles as they cause a problem, and a sleeping bag that compresses right down. You just have to be econmoical with your packing and be prepared to smella bit for the weekend, numerous changes of boxers and T shirts are a weighty luxury

All packed into a rucksack and a tank bag and all is good, just hope it doesnt get wet as the added weight of wet gear is a pain.

PM me. we go over on the monday prior to pratice and qualifying with a trafic full of gear can make room for your tents.

Can collect from you as well if needs be we work all over the southern counties.
So long as you don't mind us checking your tents for contraband etc and you collecting them from Team Langoustine site, then no worries.

Cheers Dave

Failing all else, I live at Le Mans so you could UPS them to me here. Email me if that would help. Mind you, Decathlon here are selling new 2 man tents at £20 so why bother?

Good luck.

If all else fails do this. You dont need polar explorer ones, just ones to cover your head. You can almost treat them as disposable...
