Ode to the Elise daily driver:

Open Garage door, Squeeze-Clamber in.
Reverse out of garage, Clamber out.
Close garage door, Clamber in.
Drive to work, Clamber out.
Go home from work, Clamber in.
Arrive on drive, Clamber out.
Go to the shops, Clamber in, park away from others to avoid door damage,
Clamber out.
Load shopping in boot. Clamber in.
Arrive on drive, Clamber out.
Open garage door, Clamber in.
Drive into garage, Squeeze-Clamber out.

Anybody else get sore pods?

Usually I run mine with hardtop all the time but on the rare occasion I do take it off I find it really weird getting in the car without it - almost awkward. Strange I know getmecoat
but I'm not alone - it's like when you get in the pax side for the first time and discover you can't just "flop" in the car naturally like on the drivers side.

You missed a few bits,
Get bored behind a slow pensioner and zoom past with ease...

Apex a roundabout and hit the power band perfectly when exiting...

Practice the set of esses and got them flowing really well

Rev the engine and let the superb exhaust bark and scream at the kids who are waving at you on the side of the road and make thier day!

Wave at the other Lotus going the other way and get a friendly "beep beep" back

.... Put her in the garage, climb out, pat her and say "thanks babe". As you close the door, look at the light changing across her contors and listen to the hot zorst quietly "tic" 'till it is cool.

I find a strategically placed handbag does the trick here as a 'dignity preserver'!!

I would have probably also added a few occurrences of 'mop sills', probably after every 'clamber in' - especially if talking about S1's!

Good work!

Good work!
sounds like some sort of sanitary product could be necessary to preserve dignity and stop it getting it on the sills in the first place.

(please understand that this is a joke in the poorest taste I could muster)

Ode to my Sunday morning
wake up first light, slide outta sight.
past wife beside, to the girl outside.
blip the key ring, ease on in,
down the drive, throttle open wide.

I love Sundays smile

Kudos.
I don't think I have ever read words which describe ownership of an Elise as well as this.
Gooby, that is profound.

While we are having this therapy session amongst like minded friends, some of the best times in this car;
Running my favourite road with no hold ups in superb time. Parking at the top, open the door, sit on the sill and lsten to the zorst and wait for the guys to catch up.

Changing down before a set of bends to bring her in to the power band and flowing beautifully.

Took out a buddy who didn't know what a liz could do. Belted through some bends, round the roundabout at the end and back. At the end he looked white and shakey and asked not to do that again!

Playing traffic light GP at 2 in the morning with 3 friends all in lotus and just laughing till my ribs hurt

doing your daily commute with a huge smile knowing that every Eco box driver just doesn't get it.

Arriving at work a little early and being torn between getting on with the day or just using the perfect tarmac as a playground for just a little longer

but the best, the absolute best... Twinpiping roundabouts with 10 other lotus, looking in the mirror seeing the S1 behind sideways, the zige in front and closing the gap while more lotus wait for you to get dizzy so the can join in!
